Effortless Opening

ISO 10131-1 and 10131-2 compliant

We are one of the few companies in North America to offer Murphy beds that comply with ISO standards 10131-1: Safety requirements and 101131-2: Test methods. To this end, they have been subjected to a series of tests by Micom Laboratories inc.

The bed that was tested underwent 10,000 opening and closing cycles with a mattress, without any issues. This is equivalent to 96 years based on the average use of our customers, or 27 years if used daily.

The bed’s durability and the reliability of its wall mounting were also tested by repeatedly applying weight to the bed, without any breakage or anomalies. The tension of the mechanism during the bed’s opening was also tested, showing that it allows for safe use, with no risk of unexpected opening or closing, while offering easy handling, requiring minimal effort.
