Livingchy Lifestyle Murphy Bed – The Worker Vertical Natural with Unit

The ensemble includes :

• A Murphy bed with a retractable frontal desk, which folds under the bed upon opening. No extra handling necessary : when opening the bed, the desk mechanism ensures that the latter is simultaneously placed underneath the bed (see picture). You can even leave your personal items, such as your documents, laptop and pens, on the desk.
• A lateral unit which can be installed to the left or to the right of the bed :
  • Upper section : decorative shelves;
  • Lower section : night shelf, regular drawer and filing drawer with removable slides.

Mechanism

• Softness: Hydraulic piston system. Smooth opening requiring minimal effort. It is simply a matter of initiating the movement so that the bed unfolds or closes.

ISO 10131-1 and 10131-2 compliant

We are one of the few companies in North America to offer Murphy beds that comply with ISO standards 10131-1: Safety requirements and 101131-2: Test methods. To this end, they have been subjected to a series of tests by Micom Laboratories inc.

The tested bed first underwent 10,000 opening and closing cycles with a mattress, without any issues. This is equivalent to 96 years based on the average use of our customers, or 27 years for daily use.

The bed’s durability and the reliability of its wall mounting were also tested by repeatedly applying weight to the bed, without any breakage or anomalies. The tension of the mechanism during the bed’s opening was also tested, showing that it allows for safe use, with no risk of unexpected opening or closing, while offering easy handling, requiring minimal effort.
