The ensemble includes :

• A lateral unit which can be installed to the left or to the right of the bed :
  • Upper section : wardrobe, with metal rod and shelf;
  • Lower section : night shelf, regular drawer and a deep drawer who can be used to hang up your legal files.

Mechanism

• Softness: Hydraulic piston system. Smooth opening requiring minimal effort. It is simply a matter of initiating the movement so that the bed unfolds or closes.

ISO 10131-1 and 10131-2 certified

Our Murphy beds are the only ones made in Quebec that are ISO 10131-1 certified: Safety Requirements, and 10131-2: Test Methods. To obtain this certification, they were subjected to a series of tests by Micom Laboratories Inc. The tested bed first underwent 10,000 opening and closing cycles with a mattress, without any issues. This is equivalent to 96 years based on the average use of our customers, or 27 years for daily use. The bed’s durability and the reliability of its wall mounting were also tested by repeatedly applying weight to the bed, without any breakage or anomalies. The tension of the mechanism during the bed’s opening was also tested, showing that it allows for safe use, with no risk of unexpected opening or closing, while offering easy handling, requiring minimal effort.
