Simply initiate the opening movement using the handles on our Livingchy Designer Murphy beds or the opening system with LED lights on our Livingchy Lifestyle Murphy beds, then the Murphy bed’s front will quietly unfold.
During the movement, pull one of the rotating legs so that both unfold simultaneously, then let the bed front gently lower to the floor. The legs of our Murphy beds offer a sleek, stylish design, and are well hidden when the bed is in the closed position.
In addition, the exclusive reinforced structure of our beds, which provides optimum durability, is guaranteed for 20 years and supports up to 1,500 pounds.
We are one of the few companies in North America to offer Murphy beds that comply with ISO standards 10131-1: Safety requirements and 101131-2: Test methods. To this end, they have been subjected to a series of tests by Micom Laboratories inc.
The tested bed first underwent 10,000 open-close cycles with mattress, without any problems. This equals to 96 years of average customer use, or 27 years of everyday use.
The durability of the bed and the reliability of its wall mounting were also put to the test with repeated application of weight to the bed, without breakage or anomaly. The tension of the mechanism when the bed is opened was also tested, demonstrating that it allows safe use, with no possibility of unexpected opening or closing, while offering easy handling, requiring a minimum of force.
